Caring pawrents set standards
These are Kauda’s 5 Non-Negotiable Principles
The standards we refuse to compromise on
Non-Negotiable #1
1- Small dogs shouldn’t have to jump to go to bed
Small dogs are vulnerable to impact.
Constantly jumping over high bolsters puts unnecessary strains on your dog’s spine — especially for small breeds, short-legged dogs and seniors. They shouldn’t have to jump over bolsters - they deserve low, easy entry that protects their spine.
A low-entrance bed protects their spine from unnecessary impact and lets them rest without effort.
Rule of thumb: If your dog has to jump, the bed is too tall.

Tall Bolsters ❌
Designed for tall dogs, small dogs pay the price — Constantly jumping over tall bolsters strains your small dog’s spine.

Low Entrance ✅
Designed for small dogs to protect their spine from unnecessary impact

2- Big dogs shouldn’t sleep on beds that can’t support their weight
Big dogs carry more weight.
If your dog sleeps on a soft sinking bed or on the hard floor, it’s not a “sleeping issue.” It’s a spine issue waiting to happen. They need a bed that contours, aligns, and supports their body — without sinking and without being too hard.
Proper support isn’t a luxury. It’s proper care

Sinking Spine ❌
- If the bed is too soft your dog’s back will sink into it instead of being supported
- Sinking causes the back to curve excessively, leading too spinal strain and discomfort

Neutral Spine ✅
- Proper Spine Alignment
- Adapts to your dog’s body while keeping the spine in a healthy, neutral position
- Cushions shoulder and hip to relieve pressure and keep them comfortable
Non-Negotiable #3
3- Singapore is already hot. Dog beds shouldn’t trap heat.
Singapore isn’t like other places.
It’s warm and humid all year — which means dogs here don’t need cozy beds made for winter climates. They need beds designed to stay breathable, cool, and comfortable in real Singapore heat.
Non-Negotiable #4
4- In Singapore, extra space isn’t a luxury — it’s temperature control.
Space is cooling.
Your dog doesn’t sleep in one position.
They stretch. Curl. Shift — instinctively trying to cool down.
Cramped beds don’t allow that.
And in this heat, restriction equals discomfort.
In our world, space isn’t luxury — it’s temperature control.
Dogs deserve room to regulate their bodies naturally.

Restricted Movement ❌
Heat builds up when dogs can’t adjust positions

Free Movement ✅
Dogs adjust naturally to regulate temperature
Non-Negotiable #5
5- Singapore is too hot for fluffy fabrics
Fluffy, heat-trapping fabrics have no place in this climate.
We choose breathable, short-pile fabrics that release heat and help your dog stay cool - not hot.

Faux Fur ❌
Long-pile fabrics trap heat
Designed for cold climates, fails in Singapore - and our dogs pay the price.

Teddy / Sherpa ❌
High-pile, fluffy fabrics trap heat
Designed for cold climates, fails in Singapore - and our dogs pay the price.

Cooling Fabrics ✅
Breathable and cooling to touch.
Cooling yarn is designed to don’t trap heat
Kauda is designed for dogs first,
and for Singapore on purpose.
If our principles align with yours,
you’re in the right place.
