I disagreed.
Because to me, Betty isn’t “just a dog.”
Betty is family.
And family shouldn’t sleep on the floor.
Hi, I’m Robyn — dog mom to Betty and the founder of Kauda.
Like many dog parents in Singapore, I wanted a proper bed for my dog. But the more I looked, the more I realised something surprising: many dogs were either sleeping on the floor, or on beds that didn’t truly support their bodies.
Most beds were simply soft cushions — comfortable at first, but offering little real support for a dog’s spine, joints, or long-term health.
I couldn’t find a bed that protected my dog’s spine, kept her cool, and allowed her to get in and out safely without jumping.
So I decided to create one.
I started Kauda with a simple belief:
Dogs deserve the same care, comfort, and support we want for ourselves.
I wanted my dog to sleep on a bed that:
- Keeps her spine aligned while she sleeps
- Allows easy in and out safely without jumping
- Cushions her joints and distributes pressure evenly
- Low bolsters that provide natural neck support
- Uses breathable fabrics suited for Singapore’s climate
- Helps prevent the growth of bacteria and dust mites
- Has replaceable covers so the bed lasts for years
Every detail exists for one reason:
to help dogs sleep better.
Because when a dog sleeps better, they move better, age better, and live better.
They said it’s just a dog.

Betty
Every Kauda bed earns Betty’s approval first. She’s the first to inspect a new design, circling around it, pressing her paws into the fabric, and — when it’s right — curling up for a proper test nap. That’s the moment we know we’ve created something truly special.
Betty doesn’t just test comfort; she defines it. She reminds us that real dog comfort isn’t about trends — it’s about how a dog feels the moment they lie down. Her natural instincts guide the standards we hold ourselves to every day.

Robyn
Robyn, dog mom to Betty, is the heart of our team. As a Singaporean dog mom, she understands what local pawrents want most — comfort, care, and healthy, restful sleep for their pups. She makes sure every bed supports their well-being with orthopedic design for joint health and cooling comfort to suit Singapore’s heat. Her love for dogs and connection to the local community guide everything we do, ensuring each bed is thoughtfully crafted with both dogs and pawrents in mind.

From the very beginning, Kauda has been built by every parent who reached out with a question, an idea, or a moment of excitement — without even realising they were becoming part of our team.
A golden retriever mom told us Singapore’s heat was too much for her double-coated dog — and that’s how our cooling covers began.
A corgi mom shared that our Betty Bed was too tall for her dog’s short legs — and that sparked our low-entrance design. And all the pawrents who told us their dogs preferred sleeping on the floor? They shaped our cooling mat design from day one.
Your everyday moments became our breakthroughs. So when we say you are our “co-founder,” we truly mean it.
