“On a journey to help SG dogs sleep better - one bed at a time”

Hi, I’m Robyn, dog mom to Betty and the founder of Kauda.

Being a dog mom is deeply personal, because it is not about achieving something. It’s about giving your pup as much as you can and getting joy in return. For me, it’s humbling, it’s hard, it’s exhausting, but it’s the most incredible experience I’ve ever had. It has opened a new dimension for me.

Long story short, I was disappointed with those Soft Beds available in the market.
Soft beds don’t offer any kind of joint support, are more likely to harbour dust mites, and don’t have removable covers, therefore not easy to keep clean & hygienic.

I didn’t want my dog to sleep on a bed that would eventually cause health issues, so what would the ideal dog bed be?

I wanted my dog to sleep on a bed that:

- Protects and cushions her joints, improving her overall health,

- Prevents the growth of bacteria and dust mites,

- Provides neck support like a pillow,

- Provides a safe enclosed space,

- It’s easy to keep clean & hygienic.

Of course, it also had to look good and match with different ID styles.

Big ask, but there I went to create “The Betty Bed”.

Meet the Team

Kauda is run by its 3 founders, Betty, Robyn & Rafael

Betty

Betty is the boss of comfort around here. She knows what it takes to sleep well in Singapore’s heat, inspecting every bed, curling up for a test nap, and giving her paw of approval — showing pups how to rest in comfort and style.

Robyn

Robyn, dog mom to Betty, is the heart of our team. As a Singaporean dog mom, she understands what local pawrents want most — comfort, care, and healthy, restful sleep for their pups. She makes sure every bed supports their well-being with orthopedic design for joint health and cooling comfort to suit Singapore’s heat. Her love for dogs and connection to the local community guide everything we do, ensuring each bed is thoughtfully crafted with both dogs and pawrents in mind.

Rafael

If you’re wondering why Kauda feels international yet deeply rooted in local understanding, the answer is Rafael. With a background in hospitality design, Rafael brings high standards, meticulous attention to detail, and comfort-driven thinking you’d expect in world-class interiors. Since moving to Singapore in 2013, he has also learned what it takes to keep dogs cool and comfortable in our tropical climate.
The result? Orthopedic beds that meet international benchmarks, complement modern homes, and are thoughtfully crafted to suit the needs of local pups.
