Problem
Dogs shouldn’t sleep with their spine curved.
When the body sinks into a soft surface, the spine bends out of alignment — especially at the hips and shoulders where most weight is placed. That means the body isn’t properly supported, and muscles stay engaged instead of relaxing.

A structured support base holds the body evenly — preventing sinking and keeping the spine in a neutral, aligned position throughout sleep.

Problem
Dogs shouldn’t sleep with their neck twisted.
When the neck bends out of alignment — whether the head is lifted too high or hanging too low — it has to carry the weight of the head.
That means the neck never fully relaxes during sleep.

Low, structured edges (bolsters) support the head at the right height — so the neck doesn’t have to carry the weight.
Rule of thumb
If the head isn’t supported, the neck carries the head’s weight.

Pressure Relief → less pressure on hips & shoulders
Problem
A dog bed has two jobs: support the body and relieve pressure under the hips and shoulders. Beds with only one layer can’t be soft on top and firm underneath. Too firm, and it feels hard. Too soft, and the body sinks.
How Kauda solves it
Comfort Layer System (Top Blue Layer)
Kauda gives each job its own layer. The firm layer underneath supports the body. Like a yoga mat on a hard floor, the blue layer on top cushions the hips and shoulders.

Problem
In Singapore’s warm and humid climate, dogs need room to adjust their sleeping position as they get warm. Stretching, turning and shifting help reduce heat build-up. Oval and round beds offer less usable sleeping space, which can force dogs to curl and restrict natural repositioning.

Problem:
Singapore is hot and humid — the fabric shouldn’t trap heat.
Fluffy fabrics trap heat instead of releasing it. When heat builds up, dogs can’t settle or stay asleep.
