What’s the recommended fit?

For a perfect fit use this simple rule of thumb:
Your dog should be 5-10cm shorter than the internal dimensions of the bed.

Why a bed with extra 5-10cm is important for dogs in Singapore?

Space is cooling.

Dogs cool themselves by changing positions and stretching out.
A little extra space lets heat escape — and helps dogs settle.

In Singapore, extra space isn’t optional.
It’s temperature control.

Tight Space ❌

In Singapore, sleeping in the same spot without being able to adjust position traps heat

Extra Space ✅

Your dog needs space to adjust position to cool down

What if the bed is too small or too tight?

When a bed is too tight, your dog is forced to curl up and stay in one position. This traps heat and makes it harder for them to cool down — especially in Singapore’s weather. They also can’t stretch, shift, or move into natural sleeping positions, which can lead to overheating and restless sleep.

A cramped bed also increases pressure on their hips, elbows, and spine, which is uncomfortable for seniors or small dogs.

What’s recommended for dogs with short legs?

If you have a dog with short legs (Dachshund, Pomeranian, Corgi, Maltese, Maltipoo, Chihuahua, Westie, Pug, Shih Tzu, .. ), you should consider a bed with a low entrance, to facilitate their access to the bed and protect their back from jumping in and out.

For perfect height, follow this simple rule of thumb:
If your dog has to jump in or out - the bed is too tall and not good for their back.

Tall Bolsters ❌

Constantly jumping over tall bolsters strains your small dog’s spine

Low Entrance ✅

Low Entrance protects their spine - no jumps needed

How to measure:
Step 1
: Using a flexible tape measure, measure from the tip of your dog’s nose to the base of their tail.
Step 2: Measure your dog’s back legs. Start at the top of their leg and end at the floor.
Step 3: Compare with the internal dimensions of the bed.

In Singapore, a bed with extra space isn't a luxury - it's temperature control
