Biothane Coated Webbing is a product that is close to leather. BioThane ® is the brand name of all coated webbing products made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. It’s basically a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, easy to clean.
Biothane is very a flexible strap with a breaking strength of circa 280 kg, perfect for medium & small dog leashes as well as collars and harnesses.
One of the absolute best things about BioThane is that it is low maintenance. Should it become dirty, the easiest “quick clean” option is to wipe your leash down with a damp towel, a baby wipe, or a sanitizing wipe. To do a more thorough clean, fill a bowl with mild soapy water and soak your leash for a few minutes.
